Our
Story
Founded in 2004 in San Antonio, Texas, Renaissance Genuine Solid Bronze was inspired by the vision of our founder, Trevor Markham. We specialize in heritage-grade, solid bronze windows & doors as well as enclosure systems for showers and wine cellars.
A family-run business to this day, a commitment to doing what is right, not what is easy, governs every aspect of our design, manufacturing and aftercare processes. Designed and built by master craftsmen, our bronze products are characterized by their integrity, performance and distinctiveness, making them an elite choice for the discerning homeowner or design professional.
Our Process
Discovery
Working with an approved Renaissance dealer, you’ll engage in detailed consultation that captures every aspect of your vision, including floor plans, measurements, design briefing notes, finish preferences, budget constraints and even examples of other projects you’ve been inspired by. We’ll then provide you with a detailed quotation, which will be further refined until you’re happy to sign off.
Drawings
Our in-house design team begins the shop drawing process with sketches and line drawings based on your detailed quote. We work closely with you in this phase to iterate and refine until those sketches have evolved into detailed shop drawings, ready to be incorporated into wider architectural specifications. Once the shop drawings are signed off, manufacturing can begin.
Development
The next phase is manufacturing. We receive raw bronze extrusions direct from the mill and these are brushed, cut to size, machined, and given a hand-applied coating of our signature bronze patina. The frames are then assembled and wet glazed before passing through our stringent QC process and being packed for delivery.
Delivery
We ship all of our premium products on Renaissance Genuine Solid Bronze Sprinter Vans to ensure they are handled with care every step of the way, while facilitating your construction timelines. Our premium installation service is delivered via our MDI dealer partnerships, and completed by approved, experienced contractors.

We use only the finest, sustainably-sourced bronze merged with super-efficient glazing and deluxe hardware to create our elite window & enclosure systems.
Solid Bronze Frames
Our solid bronze extrusions are manufactured from recycled bronze, ensuring environmental sustainability that doesn’t compromise on quality. We source directly from the mill in order to deliver the best possible value for you.
Energy-Efficient Glazing
Advanced double-and triple-glazed glazing units deliver supreme energy efficiency without compromising on aesthetics. For our wine cellars, we also offer wine-safe glass which is exclusive to Renaissance, and features a laminate layer to protect your wine collection against damaging UV rays.
Deluxe Hardware
All Renaissance Genuine Solid bronze hardware is custom made and features solid bronze levers and key boxes for a seamlessly beautiful finish. Multipoint locks ensure complete security and peace of mind, while also maintaining uniform pressure on door seals for enhanced energy efficiency.
Thermally Broken
Our solid bronze frame extrusions are thermally broken for advanced insulation and energy efficiency. We use a polyamide strip system which is superior to conventional pour & debridge for thermal breakage, eliminating the risk of dry shrinkage and ensuring that the extrusion maintains a high degree of structural integrity across a wide range of temperature fluctuations. The result is a true composite assembly with tight tolerances and superb strength even for oversized and impact resistant glazing requirements.
