Few features make a stronger statement in a hospitality or fine dining environment than a beautifully detailed wine display.
In commercial spaces like restaurants, hotels, private clubs, and wineries, a wine cellar is not only a functional storage solution, but a hallmark of taste and distinction – signalling refinement, exclusivity and reverence for the craft of winemaking.
Often home to extensive, rare, and valuable wine collections, commercial wine storage demands precision-engineered systems that can maintain temperature and humidity over years of intensive use, without compromising on design aesthetics.

Provenance Meets Prestige: The Role of Commercial Wine Cellars
In a high-end restaurant or winery, a commercial wine enclosure sits at the intersection of architecture, brand experience, and technical performance.
It must function flawlessly as a climate-controlled environment while embodying a sense of theatre and prestige – the visual signature of a venue that understands the culture of fine wine.
It’s at the intersection of these two roles that bronze truly excels. More than just a material, it’s chosen by those who understand that excellence should be seen and felt, not just specified. By selecting bronze, you make a powerful statement that confers status on your venue and its patrons. You also unlock a world of design options that other wine cellar systems simply cannot replicate.
Design with Purpose
A commercial wine cellar doesn’t just store wine – it’s a curated gallery where craftsmanship and good taste meet. Wine connoisseurs value the opportunity to browse and appreciate your wine collection as much as they value tasting it.
Installing a showpiece wine cellar invites patrons into a deeper experience – one that celebrates provenance, exclusivity and sensory pleasure. Whether your cellar is behind the bar, or within the dining room, it becomes a focal point for conversation and desire.

Protecting Rare & Remarkable Wines
From a wine preservation perspective, a commercial wine cellar’s performance is paramount, and that’s the starting point for all Renaissance Bronze wine cellar systems.
Whether you choose our slimline Revival range or our elite Nexus and Omnia enclosures, you can be assured of commanding aesthetics and effortless performance. Fully sealed, with insulated glass and locking hardware, our bronze wine cellars create an airtight environment that promotes stable temperature and humidity – ensuring refrigeration systems operate quietly and efficiently, and protecting valuable vintages from oxidation and light strike.

A Statement of Taste: Bronze vs Steel Wine Cellars
While steel wine cellar systems can meet basic structural needs, they fall short of the thermal stability, longevity, and architectural refinement demanded by high-end commercial spaces.
Steel systems deliver structural strength, but in practical and design terms, achieving that strength often means you have to compromise with thicker, less refined profiles. Many steel wine enclosures lack thermal breaks – and the greater the mass of the frame, the higher the risk of heat transfer that can damage the wine.
Bronze, by contrast, offers inherent strength without excess bulk. Its extruded forms allow for elegant profiles with thin sightlines and larger spans that maintain superior strength while minimizing heat transfer. The result is a frame that is robust and high-performing, yet also architectural and visually light.
Our Nexus and Omnia wine cellar systems also include a thermal break, created using polyamide strips set into the frame for reduced conductivity and advanced energy efficiency. That combination of structural integrity, thermal performance, and visual finesse makes bronze the material of choice for commercial wine cellars in busy hospitality settings.

Performance Without Compromise
Bronze’s structural integrity is inseparable from its beauty. Its ability to form fine, architectural shapes allows designers to achieve elegance and proportion even in the most demanding interiors.
Because it’s extruded, bronze can be used to create exceptionally detailed forms – Renaissance offers more than 100 proprietary profiles – and adapts effortlessly from minimalist modernity to classical shapes that evoke a sense of history and tradition.
But what makes bronze truly special is that it’s beautiful even in its raw form, with rich, golden tones and a natural, living patina that makes it uniquely characterful and irresistibly tactile. The work of our bronze artisans only adds to its beauty and practicality, creating statement wine cellars that speak to craftsmanship, luxury and attention to detail in any commercial setting.

Customization and Design Freedom
Because every Renaissance wine cellar enclosure is custom-made, architects, designers and owners have complete design freedom when it comes to the scale, configuration, and finish of their commercial wine cellar.
Options range from large, walk-in and free-standing wine cellar enclosures to reach-in displays and double-sided installations – ideal for dividing a dining area while creating a central showpiece.
We offer three bronze patina finishes – ranging from natural, unlacquered bronze through to factory-controlled patina finishes in shades of chestnut, charcoal and gray. We’re also able to match with other architectural elements using custom powder coating or plating.
Every detail – from the size and shape of your enclosure to the hardware and locking mechanisms – is considered during our design process, and customized to your specific design vision. Crafted for longevity
In commercial wine cellar applications, reliability and serviceability are just as important as aesthetics.
Renaissance systems are designed for intensive daily use, ensuring that doors, hinges, and seals perform consistently over many years. Our wine enclosures are wet glazed for optimal durability, with genuine, solid muntin bars lending both structural integrity and character to the frames.
We use tempered glass for safety and code compliance in public spaces – and in the unlikely event that a breakage does occur, removable glazing stops mean it’s quick and easy to replace individual panes. Doors are sealed using either premium silicone bulb or brush weatherstripping.
Bronze requires minimal maintenance; its patina is a living finish that naturally resists corrosion, even in humid environments. There’s no surface coating to degrade, and wear simply enhances its character. Minor scratches can be repaired using a Renaissance Patina Repair Kit, while routine cleaning and light oiling of moving parts keep the enclosure performing flawlessly.
