When one of the NFL’s highest-paid defensive ends embarks on a home renovation project, the standard set for every detail is exactly what you’d expect – uncompromising.
Having purchased a sprawling $5.68m estate in the prestigious Las Vegas community of Summerlin in 2024, superstar defender Maxx Crosby and his wife Rachel engaged the services of design firm Kelly Stone interiors to complete two key upgrades – the completion of a custom indoor basketball arena, and a master bath renovation fit for a king.
We were honored to work with the Crosby family and the team at Kelly Stone to deliver a bespoke shower enclosure for the primary bathroom suite that exceeded every expectation, achieving genuine wow factor within a home of extraordinary presence.

A home that turns heads
Situated within the exclusive, gated Mountain Trails enclave of Summerlin North, the Crosby home is one of Las Vegas’s most impressive private residences.
Originally built in 2002, the property is set on a 1.24-acre site and expands to a cool 20,558 square feet across two storeys, featuring seven bedrooms, twelve bathrooms, and a six-car garage. The grand main residence is flanked by a purpose-built second structure housing what might be its most talked-about feature – a full indoor basketball court, complete with an upstairs viewing gallery, cigar lounge, games room and kitchenette.
Inside, the property’s soaring ceilings, sweeping marble floors, and oversized windows flood every room with natural light. Beyond the main living spaces, there’s a private screening room, a wine room, a billiards room, a fully equipped gym, and a resort-style pool with spa. It’s the kind of home that turns heads even in one of Las Vegas’s most prestigious postcodes.

A place to retreat
As a private retreat from the gaze of life in the spotlight, and a place to rest and recover from the rigors of professional sportsmanship, it’s not surprising that the dated and dark master bath was one of the first spaces the Crosbys wanted to upgrade – and it’s here that bronze has made an enormous impact.
Previously, the bathroom didn’t make the most of its impressive size. A sunken tub encased in dark marble wasted a lot of floor space and sucked in light while the traditional vanity had unbalanced proportions that made the space feel busy, not restful.
A complete overhaul saw the old storage replaced by full-height custom cabinetry with reeded fronts, marble tops, brass hardware and oversized mirrors to truly balance the proportions of the space.

Soaked in luxury
We worked closely with the client and the team at Kelly Stone Interiors to do the same for the shower enclosure – which was large, but dark, and accessed through a narrow single door that was not suited to the space or the stature of its new owner!
With the shower itself opened out, we set about refining and developing their vision for a double-wide shower enclosure, with French-style doors providing unfettered access to a luxurious wet area with clean lines – making the shower a true focal point for the room.
Lined in dramatic Calacatta marble, with a matching storage alcove and marble bench, the space also features woven-effect floor tiles and decadent brass hardware which is perfectly matched by the golden bronze finish selected for the enclosure itself.

Narrow sightlines frame the beauty of the materials within, while matching dual sidelights and an operable steam transom further amplify the sense of scale and indulgence, creating a spa-at-home experience to be savored every day. As a living material, the bronze will evolve and darken over time, producing a unique patina that’s a mark of true distinction – it cannot be bought, it can only be lived.
Making headlines with bronze
Maxx Crosby is no stranger to headlines – and his home is no exception. Coverage of the purchase and details about the custom basketball arena project has been widespread – and this bathroom project has only added to the conversation, with the project attracting a huge number of likes and views on social media.
Projects at this level attract attention precisely because the results show what’s possible when design and fabrication come together at the highest standard – when the vision is executed with deep collaboration and material expertise that pushes the boundaries of what’s possible.
If you’re working on a project that demands the same level of precision and craftsmanship, we’d love to hear about it – book a Discovery Session to talk through your vision, no matter what stage you’re at.
